The Plan: 
  1. Get some halloween constumes. Enough for everyone except the few people (or person) thats not going to be in on the prank.
  2. Christmas eve night, move the tree to another room/area, put in its place a Pumpkin head (or something halloween-ish) and any other halloweenish decorations that you want to do
  3. In the morning, everyone dresses up except the person/people not in the prank
